If you didn't know this is the last full academic week for the BIG Milestone Assessment. Please take advantage of the Milestone Prep assessments I have provided for you last week. Also, be sure of to take advantage of the March Madness IXL tracker to provide remediation/extension opportunities the test. I will be out this Thursday and Friday, however you will be given ample resources to be prepared for the test. We like to ask parents for their input towards the end of the year, as we are always looking to improve our practices for students. Your input is invaluable to us as we explore making meaningful changes to the way we do sixth grade in an effort to ease the transition from 5th to 6th, and to give the differentiated support our little Wildcats need. We will be working on various skills dependent upon classroom results of the Milestone Review. Students will be provided subsequent activities in the area of their weaknesses. If students proves to be Proficient or Advanced in all areas (Algebra, Ratios/Proportional Relationship, Geometry, Number System, and Statistics) they will be provided 7th Grade course work.

Monday: Milestone Prep Test Tuesday: Milestone Prep Test Wednesday: Reteaching Of Common Standards (TBA) Thursday: Review Friday: Review. I will not be present this Thursday and Friday. I will presenting in Santa Fe, New Mexico at the MIdSchoolMath National Conference on the topic of Engaging Students First using Number lines, Box Plots, and Histograms. I will be providing a packet along with additional IXL standards that will need to be completed by Monday, March 5th. Students are expected to completed IXL Standard FF.15 tonight for Homework.
You grade will be reflection of the "SMARTSCORE." I will about to be cutting the turn off date at 9:00am. This will allow for those who participate in tutoring an opportunity to complete their assignment. |
